About Us
People come to work for Habinteg because they believe in what matters to us. Inclusion drives all that we do, be that the services we offer to tenants, the environments we create or the homes we deliver. One in four people in this country are disabled but most homes are designed to exclude them. We believe in designing homes and creating neighbourhoods that everyone can share and enjoy. We have 3200 homes across the country from Tyneside to Cornwall. We provide expert training and consultancy through our Centre for Accessible Environments (CAE) in-house team.
About the Role
You will be responsible for delivering housing services across a number of schemes, including Gainsborough Court & Nash Drive (Bristol, BS7 9ED), Whitchurch Scheme (Bristol, BS14 9ND), Grooms Orchard (Wellington, TA21 8AT), Lyngford Farm (Taunton, TA2 7HR), Stoney Furlong (TA2 8RY), and standalone properties in Weston-super-Mare. Gainsborough Court & Nash Drive will be your base office, where we have vulnerable tenants and an on-site care team.
This is a varied, rewarding, and sometimes challenging housing management role. You will be responsible for letting properties, carrying out scheme inspections (including key health and safety checks), supporting tenants to keep up to date with their rent, and liaising with social services and occupational health services to help tenants maintain their tenancies and live independently. You will also manage reports of low level anti-social behaviour and provide ongoing tenancy support.
You will be working as part of a small team and will be managed by the Senior Neighbourhood Coordinator, with an expectation to achieve stretching and ambitious targets. Tenant engagement is key to our success, and you will work closely with tenant representatives and tenant groups.
At times, you may be required to travel to sites outside of your usual working areas to support the wider team with essential void works and sign-ups.
About You
You will be committed and enthusiastic, thriving on the challenges of working independently and the responsibility and rewards that brings. You will have some experience and knowledge of housing management in the social housing sector, and will be committed to Habinteg’s inclusive housing mission.
Computer literacy is needed, as are sound written and verbal communication skills. You will be flexible and agile in your approach, being able to adapt your approach to different circumstances and service demands.
Closing date: This role will remain open until filled, so don’t delay submitting your application!
