The Opportunity
Haberdashers' Monmouth School is seeking an inspiring and passionate part-time Director of Netball to join our team from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives on developing young athletes into confident players, while contributing to a vibrant school community known for its strong sporting tradition. Our netball program is a key part of our sporting breadth, with a strong emphasis on both competitive success and broad participation.
This role will take responsibility for the netball programme, ensuring the highest possible standard of experience for our netball players, while also contributing to the wider sports program.
This is a permanent role for 22 hours per week, including Saturday mornings.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop the Netball program, from planning to delivery, ensuring continuity of approach and progression for teams and individual players.
- Line manage and coordinate the work of all netball coaches.
- Manage the netball budget.
- Organise the netball fixture list, ensuring a suitable level of competition and opportunities for as many pupils as possible to represent the school in matches
- Represent netball on the Games Committee and at the Calendar Planning meetings
- Organise netball tours according to the school tour itinerary
- Plan the netball coaching program
- Act as a role model, fostering confidence, self-belief, and strong interpersonal skills in pupils.
About You
- An enthusiastic, energetic, and highly skilled coach with a passion for netball.
- Proven experience in coaching netball, ideally in a school or youth setting.
- A strong leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Flexible, adaptable, and willing to contribute fully to the life of a busy day and boarding school.
- Committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
