You play a central role in leading the Sixth Form at Haberdashers Hatcham College. You work closely with the Head of Sixth Form, setting clear expectations and driving high standards for students aged 16 to 18. Your focus is on progress, attendance, and outcomes, supporting strong destinations after Sixth Form. We seek a credible and committed leader with post 16 experience who understands academic and vocational pathways. You will use data to improve performance and communicate clearly with staff, students, and families, modelling Haberdashers values and promoting inclusion and ambition.
Key responsibilities and duties:
- Support the Head of Sixth Form with leadership, planning, and delivery.
- Monitor attendance, progress, and achievement across Sixth Form.
- Lead targeted interventions to improve outcomes.
- Support university applications, apprenticeships, and careers guidance.
- Oversee pastoral systems and student wellbeing.
- Promote positive behaviour and professional standards.
- Support line management of Sixth Form staff and tutors.
- Contribute to curriculum development for post 16 provision.
- Build partnerships with universities, employers, and providers.
- Support recruitment, open events, and Sixth Form promotion.
This role will be reporting to the Assistant Principal Staff Development. Our staff are important to us. We know that without great staff, our children will not be as successful.
