We attract outstanding candidates to our bespoke Graduate Teacher Training Programme (GTTP), designed to nurture future senior school teachers through expert-led professional learning and immersive classroom experience.

Habs Graduate Teacher Training Programme (GTTP)
A salaried, high-quality route into teaching
In partnership with the University of Buckingham, Habs offers a rigorous and supportive training programme leading to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a PGCE. Each year, we recruit and employ 1–4 graduates based on current workforce needs across our Senior Schools.
Our three-year salaried programme includes:
- In-house training aligned with the ITT Core and Early Career Frameworks
- Expert-led sessions delivered by pedagogical and subject specialists
- Collaborative learning across our family of schools
- Dedicated mentoring from experienced subject teachers and the Director of Initial Teacher Training
- A contrasting placement in a local maintained school to broaden experience
This is a unique opportunity to train in a stimulating, supportive environment while earning a salary and gaining qualifications recognised across both Independent and Maintained sectors.
Pathways for progression: Many of our trainees go on to secure permanent roles within the Habs Schools, with opportunities to develop into subject leadership or pastoral roles.
