Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Compliance Assistant to join our Estates team at Haberdashers’ Elstree Schools. This role directly supports the compliance of our schools with regulatory, health and safety, and data protection requirements, ensuring safe, secure and well‑managed learning environments for pupils and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with internal compliance audits.
• Contribute to the preparation of risk assessments and local management arrangements.
• Help maintain accurate asset and health and safety records.
• Liaise with external consultants and support inspection readiness.
• Update school policies and provide administrative support to estates training, security and data protection processes.

Qualifications & Skills

• Strong administrative and spreadsheet skills.
• Keen eye for detail and a calm, methodical approach to work.
• Experience in an independent school is welcomed but not essential.
• Commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people.
• Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and contractors.
• Readiness to contribute to the ongoing success of our schools.
