About the role

Following the promotion of the current postholder, we are looking to appoint a Head of Mathematics. This is a wonderful department to lead, with a plethora of talented practitioners. The team have established a compelling curriculum offer, which has culminated in the recruitment of two A Level Mathematics groups, and a Further Mathematics group in this inaugural year of the Sixth Form. The curriculum has been thoughtfully designed, building on the White Rose Maths approach at Key Stage 3. There is a common pedagogical approach adopted by the team, which is highly effective. Outcomes in Mathematics are strong.

You will also benefit from a network of leaders across the Trust, providing access to bespoke professional development and coaching. We are looking for a colleague who is passionate, has strong interpersonal skills and has the ambition to build upon the strong foundations that are already in place. You will have the support of a team of postholders, who bring expertise in all areas of the curriculum, and in the development of Teaching and Learning. We are looking for a post holder who can ensure Mathematics continues to have a high profile; and is willing to offer a range of enrichment opportunities. You will be keen to take an active role in curriculum development. You will also want to make an active contribution to the extra curricular provision. You will be motivated by your ability to develop others.
