Business Development Manager – North of England (Manufacturing) – Habasit. Location: Habasit Greater Lincoln Area, United Kingdom.

Role description

Habasit is a globally renowned belting manufacturer with nearly 80 years\’ experience in providing high-quality belts and outstanding customer service to a vast range of industries across the world. Innovation & quality are the cornerstones of our business, which can be seen in our ever-growing product range and in our approach to building and fostering relationships with our customers.

We are seeking a dynamic and results-focused Business Development Manager to join our team in the north of England where we provide belting solutions to a range of large and small customers, including well-known household brands. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a background in selling to manufacturing industries such as pharmaceutical, paper and print, automotive, wood-based panels, gypsum, etc. Any technical or engineering expertise would be highly desirable, though full product training will be provided.

As well as driving new business, the successful candidate will provide world-class customer service to existing accounts by working closely with our customer care and specialist service & technical teams across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities through market research and networking
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company goals
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and the competitive landscape
  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and sales pitches to potential clients
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless execution of business development initiatives
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, providing insights and recommendations for improvement by required deadlines
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to represent the company and generate leads
  • Take ownership of the customer experience delivered to all accounts, liaising with service and customer care teams where appropriate
  • Represent the business with professionalism and integrity
  • Plan and execute effective customer calls with quality and efficiency
  • Create and deliver presentations and practical demonstrations of solutions and products
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional and solution-focused manner
  • Achieve annual targets/KPIs
