Yes, you\βll learn from us, but we also expect to learn from you! General Summary: This position reports to the Design Team Leader or their designee and is located in Maranello, Italy. You will be responsible for designing F1 chassis-related components and mechanical assemblies. Key Responsibilities: Promote teamwork and effective communication across all personnel and departments. Design of F1 chassis components and mechanical assemblies. Study and design components using solid modeling, surface modeling, and 2D drawings to develop high-performance, reliable, and optimized solutions. Design scope includes suspensions, wheels, hydraulic, fuel, cooling systems, and equipment for car homologation and on-track management (e.g., legality checks, pit stop equipment). Manage the design mock-up activity within the design office. Follow all safety regulations at all venues. Perform other duties as assigned by the Design Team Leader or their designee. Education and Work Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (GCSE) required; further education including a Mechanical Engineering degree preferred. Minimum of 6 years of work experience, with at least 3 in a professional motorsports environment or F1 companies. Specialized Knowledge and Skills: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Excellent understanding of English. Robust technical background in racing cars. Ability to work to high standards under stressful and time-sensitive conditions. Quick decision-making skills, approaching problems scientifically and analytically. Team-oriented with the ability to work well with personnel at all levels. Empathetic approach to colleagues and ability to integrate into a team environment. Positive, proactive attitude and willingness to assist others. Equipment and Applications: Proficiency in SolidWorks (preferably CATIA), Microsoft Office, and ERP systems. Mechanical aptitude with knowledge of composites. Ability to follow complex regulations related to material shipment and facility maintenance. Work Environment and Physical Demands: Must work effectively in a high-pressure, time-sensitive environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks. Occasional domestic and international travel may be required. Long and flexible hours, including weekends, may be necessary. The role may involve lifting up to 50 pounds, repetitive bending, squatting, manual dexterity, and exposure to machinery, race cars, rigs, debris, and hazardous fluids.
