General Summary:
This position reports to the Head of UK Operations or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK. Responsible for the overall management and maintenance of the sea freight inventory, including the setup and pack up while trackside. This role will also be responsible for the management of the department of garage and infrastructure technicians tasked with maintaining and improving the sea freight kits both in the Haas UK facilities and trackside.
This is a key role working cross functionally with the Logistic & Freight group, Procurement, Race team departments and the wider Operational group.

General Responsibilities:
• Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop trustworthy relationships between all personnel and departments.
• Responsible for the overall performance of the department, ensuring targets and milestones are achieved.
• Manage department personnel from recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement through to separation.
• Mentor, train and guide personnel as required. Develop staff using effective performance reviews and development plans.
• Responsible for establishing and adhering to departmental budgets to maintain a practical yet functional department.
• Other duties as assigned by the Head of UK Operations or their designee.

Key Responsibilities:
• Accountable for the maintenance, replenishment and completeness of all the team’s sea freight kits.
• Accountable for the management of the Garage and Infrastructure Technician groups including their schedule of work and their trackside rotation schedule.
• Work with the Trackside Operation Manager to ensure that the setup, maintenance and pack up of the garage infrastructure at the track is to the highest quality possible.
• Plan, budget and implement the sea freight maintenance of the kits following business requirements.
• Collaborate and work cohesively with the Logistic & Freight Manager to ensure the sea freight movements are planned appropriately and the team is prepared and working according to the same targets.
• Collaborate and work cohesively with the Trackside Operation Manager to ensure the services related to sea freight are delivered as per trackside requirements.
• Ensure that all sea freight is loaded according to internal procedures and policies, whilst adhering to Health & Safety standards at all times.
• Manage and introduce various projects in collaboration with the race team related to garage equipment and sea freight kit expansion.
• Ensure that all sea freight is serviced, stock controlled and safely loaded on-time for transportation.
• Responsible for the maintenance of all garage equipment contained in the sea freights kits following planned schedules and presentation standards.
• Responsible for the cleanliness and condition of the sea freight areas within the Haas UK facility.
• Assumes any responsibilities and duties delegated by the Head of UK operations or their designee.
• Oversee the ad hoc projects as assigned.
• Follow all health & safety regulations in all venues.

Education and Work Experience:
Preferred at least 3 years of work experience within an F1 or top-level motorsport environment, specifically with a logistics / operations background as a Team Leader or Manager’s level. The role requires a strong work-ethic within a professional motorsport team environment, operating to a high standard with a positive and aspirational work attitude.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
• Proven experience of working alone and managing a team.
• The ability to consistently work to the highest standards with an exceptional attitude towards attention to detail.
• Ability to deliver solutions in a pressurized environment under tight time constraints.
• Previous experience of working in a professional motorsport environment.
• Knowledge of F1 garage equipment and systems.
• Knowledge of F1 Sea Freight kits and equipment.
• Self-motivated with the ability to use initiative where appropriate.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to overcome technical and operational issues.
• UK & International Driving License.
• Fork Lift Truck License >10T.
• Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
• A sympathetic approach to your work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
• A ‘can do’ positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.

Equipment and Applications:
• Computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products including Microsoft Dynamics 365, Word, Excel, Outlook & Visio.
• Mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.

Work Environment Physical Demands:
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require extensive domestic & international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.

This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast- paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
