TGR Haas F1 Team competes in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship with Grand Prix race winner Esteban Ocon and British rising star Ollie Bearman, led by Team Principal Ayao Komatsu. The 2025 season saw the team’s second highest points total in its 10-season history, achieving a combined total of 20 top 10 finishes. The first American Formula 1 team to compete in the sport since 1986, TGR Haas F1 Team made an immediate impression with a memorable points-scoring debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Nine years later, and the team continues to demonstrate growth and a clear direction with its future objectives – coming off the back of its second-best season to-date in Formula 1. We’re a racing team – not a corporate machine. We have three HQs – Kannapolis in the US, Banbury in the UK and Maranello in Italy – each powered by passionate, loyal and hardworking team ambassadors. General Summary: This position reports to the RTS Chief Mechanic or their designee; is located in Banbury, UK. Responsible for the assembly and servicing of the Haas Formula 1 Race Car components.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
- Responsibility for the cleanliness and condition of the work area.
- Following Engineering procedures and protocols as dictated by the Haas F1 Team pertaining to assembly, operation, and safety.
- Collaborate and work cohesively with the Lead Assembly Technician daily regarding workloads, fault reporting and diagnoses, as well as service and parts usage allocation.
- Ensure that all Sub Assembled components are consistently built to the highest standards and to the correct build specifications.
- Assist and support chosen departments to facilitate Turnarounds, Engineering Projects, Car Builds and Event Support.
- Able to cover trackside Race Team Sub Assembly positions if required.
- Report reliability issues as they occur and seek advice before undertaking any out of the ordinary tasks.
- Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
- Assumes any responsibilities and duties delegated by the RTS Chief Mechanic or their designee.
Education and Work Experience: GCSE, High School Diploma or equivalent required. 4 years previous experience in a similar mechanical role within Formula 1, World Sports Cars, or F2 is preferred – however consideration will be given to a candidate who can demonstrate professionalism and a sound record of service within the Motorsport Industry.

Equipment and Applications: Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products, Microsoft Dynamics AX and 3DX. Mechanical aptitude. Ability to follow complex regulations related to shipment of materials and facility maintenance requirements.
Work Environment Physical Demands: An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic and international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends. This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
