The first American Formula 1 team to compete in the sport since 1986, MoneyGram Haas F1 Team made an immediate impression with a memorable points-scoring debut at the 2016 Australian Grand Prix. Nine years later, and the team continues to demonstrate growth and a clear direction with its future objectives – coming off the back of its second-best season to-date in Formula 1.

General Summary:
This position reports to the Lead Aerodynamics Designer or their designee; is located in Maranello, Italy. Works closely with model makers and aerodynamicists to continuously evolve performance of aerodynamic test parts and surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote teamwork and effective communications to develop working relationships between all personnel and departments.
- CAD surface definition and concept scheming.
- CAD model part design.
- Clear communication of task status.
- Develop workflow automation tools.
- Follow all safety regulations in all venues.
- Other duties as assigned by the Lead Aerodynamics Designer or their designee.
Education and Work Experience:
- GCSE, High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Further education including an engineering university degree required.
- 3 years of work experience, 1 of which must be in a professional motorsports environment.
Specialized Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Have an excellent understanding of English language.
- Strong technical background in racing car.
- Thorough understanding of and experience with CAD, with expertise in CATIA/3DX.
- Self-sufficient in planning and prioritizing tasks.
- Employ thoughtful analysis, discernment, and effective decision-making to meet objectives.
- Work to a consistently high standard in stressful and time sensitive situations.
- Quick decision-making skills whilst working through problems in a scientific and analytical way.
- Work well within a team environment with personnel at all levels.
- A sympathetic approach to work colleagues and an ability to integrate within a group environment.
- A can-do positive approach and a willingness to help others is essential.
Equipment and Applications:
- Solid computer knowledge, preferred experience in Microsoft Office products.
- Working experience with 3D CAD with strong preference to Catia/3DX.
Work Environment Physical Demands:
An ability to work and prioritize within a high pressure, time sensitive environment while retaining a methodical approach is essential. The role may require occasional domestic or international travel and a willingness to work long and flexible hours including weekends.
This position may require lifting to 50 pounds, repeated bending, squatting and manual dexterity. Fast-paced work environment requiring heavy mental demands. Work environment includes machinery, race cars, 7-post and other rigs, grinding debris, and hazardous fluids. All employees must ensure compliance with the Company Health and Safety Policy, and all relevant other statutory Health and Safety legislation.
