As CIO/CTO, you will lead the technology function spanning software development, infrastructure, DevOps, data engineering, BI & analytics, QA, and information security. You’ll be responsible for setting and delivering the technical roadmap, driving performance, reliability, and innovation across our SaaS platform. You’ll work in close partnership with the CEO, Product leadership, and other internal stakeholders to develop scalable, secure, and cutting-edge technology solutions that support business goals and product expansion. You will also play a critical role in leading a distributed team of engineers and technical specialists. You will be part of the Senior Leadership Team, working together to design and drive the strategic direction of the company.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and implement the technology strategy to support growth and innovation
- Lead a cross-functional technology team covering engineering, DevOps, data, QA, and InfoSec
- Deliver high-quality, secure, scalable SaaS solutions across our platform
- Foster engineering best practices across architecture, development, operations, and QA
- Guide technical decisions on infrastructure, development tools, frameworks, and processes
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product, Commercial, and R&D teams
- Support integration of commercial and in-house tools into the product suite
- Develop and mentor a hybrid team with remote and local staff across the UK
- Ensure security, compliance, and performance of systems and data
- Collaborate with the rest of the Senior Leadership team to drive company strategy & growth
- Management and Board reporting
What We’re Looking For
- Proven leadership experience in a senior technology role (CTO, CIO, or similar), ideally within a SaaS or high-growth tech business, with experience of working as part of a successful leadership team
- Deep experience across the full technical spectrum: development, DevOps, data, BI, QA, InfoSec
- Strong technical foundation with hands-on knowledge of the following: Front end technologies (React, Angular and ecosystem), Snowflake, Auth0, Looker, Bitbucket, Atlassian Suite
- Experience leading distributed and remote teams with strong communication and collaboration skills
- Demonstrated success in scaling platforms and teams
- Familiarity with payments, fintech, or financial networks (e.g., Mastercard, Visa) is advantageous but not essential
