Key Account Manager - Seeds role at ha. Location: Lincolnshire based with travel across the UK; some overseas travel may be required.
Salary Package: £40,000 - £50,000 basic salary depending on skills and experience + Company Car + Benefits.
Key Responsibilities:- Create, agree, and implement clear plans for maximising income from Agricultural accounts.
- Work with line manager and Operations Division to build and deliver pricing terms for retail and royalty products.
- Ensure multi-year sales and royalty targets are achieved, developing all available market opportunities.
- Create Key Account Management plans for major customers; collaborate with the team to ensure plans are achievable and approved.
- Maintain a high level of commercial and technical expertise; operate by company values.
- Have excellent technical knowledge of the company Agricultural portfolio.
- Collaborate with the Coordination, Marketing, Technical and Operations teams to commercialise new products.
- Engage in personal development within the company.
- Travel in the UK and Europe as required, with potential outside standing working hours.
- Proactively work with other teams across the business.
- Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent by experience.
- BASIS (Seed Sellers) qualification is desirable but not essential.
- NIAB Crop Inspector license is desirable but not essential.
- Significant experience working in agriculture.
- Significant sales/key account management experience.
- Outstanding commercial awareness.
- Excellent networking and relationship building skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Effective communication, collaboration and negotiation skills.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills.
- IT skills including Microsoft Office and SharePoint.
- Highly driven to achieve personal and business success, meeting or exceeding targets where possible.
- Strong technical understanding and sales skills suitable for a technical market.
- Ability to build and capitalize on strong business relationships and networks.
