We have a permanent opportunity for a skilled Mobile Service Engineer to cover scheduled maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and light installations.
What You’ll Do
- Conduct planned PPM visits on air-conditioning, refrigeration, and heat-pump systems
- Respond to breakdowns and carry out timely repairs
- Complete small-scale installations and site surveys
- Assist with tender preparation (materials & labour estimates)
- Participate in an on-call rota (including occasional out-of-town work)
- Generate clear, professional daily job reports
- Advise clients on site and mentor junior engineers
Ideal Qualifications & Experience
- City & Guilds 2079 F-GAS
- City & Guilds Refrigeration, Air Conditioning & Heat Pumps
- Proven field experience fault-finding, repairs & PPM on M&E systems
- Strong knowledge of HVAC controls and basic electrical systems
- Familiarity with Legionella L8 water testing and emergency-lighting checks
- Computer literate with a clean driving licence
- Comfortable working in occupied premises and engaging professionally with the public
Desirable Add-Ons
- C&G Level 3 Electrical Installation, Commissioning & Inspection qualifications
- 2382-22 IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition)
- Emergency lighting to BS 5266
- CSCS, PASMA, IPAF or similar site-safety certifications
