H9 Talent Solutions has an opportunity for an experienced HSE Manager to join a major industrial shutdown project in the South of England. Working for a leading contractor, you will take ownership of all Health, Safety and Environmental activities throughout the shutdown, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in full compliance with client and statutory requirements. This is a fast-paced role suited to someone with previous shutdown, outage or turnaround experience within the power generation, process, petrochemical, refinery, energy from waste or heavy industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all Health, Safety and Environmental activities throughout the shutdown.
  • Provide visible leadership and promote a positive safety culture across site.
  • Ensure compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation, client procedures and company standards.
  • Support the planning and execution of high-risk shutdown activities.
  • Review and approve RAMS, permits and safe systems of work.
  • Carry out regular site inspections, audits and behavioural safety observations.
  • Lead incident investigations, identifying root causes and implement corrective actions.
