Engineering Test Technician – Product Testing & Validation

H9 Talent Solutions is recruiting an Engineering Test Technician for a global manufacturer of industrial and hazardous-area products.
Joining the Design Engineering team, you’ll carry out hands-on product testing that supports new designs, verifies performance and helps engineers identify improvements. You’ll also contribute to developing the capabilities of the testing laboratory.
The role
- Prepare products, equipment and fixtures for mechanical, electrical, environmental and performance testing.
- Carry out tests to defined procedures, recording accurate and traceable results.
- Analyse findings, identify unexpected results and produce clear technical reports.
- Work with design, quality and manufacturing teams to investigate failures and support product improvements.
- Support equipment calibration, servicing and maintenance.
- Maintain safe working practices and an organised laboratory.
- Help improve testing processes and introduce new equipment and methods.
What we’re looking for
- Experience in engineering, manufacturing, product testing or a technical laboratory environment.
- A Level 3 qualification in Electrical, Mechanical or General Engineering would be advantageous.
- Practical experience using test equipment and following technical documentation.
- A methodical approach to recording results, investigating issues and solving problems.
- Good communication and IT skills, with confidence preparing reports.
- A willingness to learn and develop your technical knowledge.
You could currently be working as a Test Technician, Engineering Technician, Product Test Technician or Quality Technician with hands-on testing responsibilities.
