A leading renewable energy developer is looking for an experienced Planning Lawyer to join their legal team on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work on high-value infrastructure and clean energy projects that are shaping the UK’s sustainable future.

The Role

  • Advising on nationally significant infrastructure projects across the UK, supporting a team that’s developing major renewable energy schemes including solar, wind, battery storage and related grid infrastructure.
  • Key responsibilities include:
  • Advising on planning, consents and permitting for complex infrastructure projects
  • Supporting land acquisition and development strategy
  • Engaging with regulators, local authorities, and stakeholders
  • Drafting and negotiating planning and property-related documentation
  • Supporting environmental and consenting strategy for large-scale projects

About You

  • UK-qualified solicitor with 6+ years’ PQE
  • Strong track record in planning law, ideally with DCO experience
  • Experience advising on major infrastructure or energy projects
  • Confident handling high-value and complex matters independently
  • Collaborative, commercially minded, and solutions focused
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid setup and travelling in the London office
