Their purpose is to facilitate the investment and delivery of energy infrastructure projects that positively influence the energy transition. Their engineers and consultants support some of the most innovative energy projects across the UK and Ireland, providing design, intellectual, and engineering services to developers, investors, and owner-operators.
As the business grows from strength to strength, they are now looking to further extend their team by recruiting a senior grade civil/structural engineering consultant to work out of their Stockport office 3 days a week, with home working or site/client travel on the other 2 days.
- A good degree in either Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Recent technical experience gained with civils projects, ideally from a consultancy, with renewable energy or electrical transmission project knowledge.
- Experience of conducting quality inspections of materials and methods such as pre-formed and cast concrete structures, drainage, and steelwork.
- A good understanding of foundation piling, UK and European building codes, and geotechnical studies.
- The ability to produce and explain high quality technical reports and feasibility studies for clients.
- Comfortable in interpreting engineering drawings, design specifications, and functional descriptions.
- Fully conversant with Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of CDM Regulations and risk assessments, able to identify quality issues and design risks.
- Able to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary project team.
- A full driving licence and vehicle for travel to sites/meetings.
