H9 Talent Solutions have partnered with a rapidly growing clean technology business who is seeking an experienced Senior Process Engineer to support the development and scale-up of innovative industrial systems focused on sustainability, efficiency, and next-generation energy solutions. This is an opportunity to join a highly technical engineering team delivering complex process solutions from concept through to commissioning within a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Role & Responsibilities
- Lead process engineering activities across design, optimisation, and operational improvement projects
- Develop and review process flow diagrams (PFDs), P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and technical specifications
- Support pilot plant, demonstration, and commercial-scale system development
- Conduct process simulations and performance analysis to improve efficiency and reliability
- Work closely with mechanical, electrical, controls, and project engineering teams
- Contribute to HAZOPs, risk assessments, and process safety activities
- Support commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Engage with suppliers, customers, and external engineering partners where required
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership within the process engineering function
Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or a related discipline
- Significant industrial experience within clean technology, energy, chemicals, industrial gases, waste-to-energy, hydrogen, carbon capture, or related sectors
- Strong understanding of process design principles and industrial plant operations
- Experience with process simulation tools such as Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, or similar
- Knowledge of process safety and engineering standards
- Ability to manage multiple technical workstreams in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
