Job Description
HR Business Partner – Midlands (Multi-Site)
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 DOE
Benefits: £5,000 car allowance or company car, enhanced pension, life assurance, and additional benefits
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
Location: Midlands-based (covering sites across the East Midlands, Milton Keynes, and occasionally the North West)
Hybrid Working: Approx. 2 days per week from home
About the Role
We’re working with a leading national organisation to recruit a talented HR Business Partner to support multiple operational sites across the Midlands and beyond.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR professional who enjoys a varied, hands-on role partnering with managers to deliver practical and effective people solutions. The position offers an excellent balance between on-site engagement and home-based flexibility, typically requiring travel 2–3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Partner with site management teams to deliver the people plan and drive HR initiatives that support business goals.
- Lead on the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, development, performance management, and employee relations.
- Provide expert HR advice, ensuring compliance with UK employment law and internal policies.
- Support managers through employee relations issues including disciplinaries, grievances, and appeals.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Employee Representative bodies.
- Coach and upskill line managers to enhance leadership capability and drive a high-performance culture.
- Work collaboratively with the wider HR team to ensure consistent and inclusive practices across all sites.
About You
You’ll be an experienced HR professional who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-site environment. You’re confident in influencing at all levels, balancing operational needs with a people-first approach.
Essential Experience:
- Proven experience as an HR Business Partner across multiple sites.
- Strong generalist HR knowledge including recruitment, performance management, reward, and employee relations.
- In-depth understanding of UK employment law and HR best practice.
- Demonstrated success implementing people initiatives aligned to business strategy.
- Experience managing complex employee relations cases.
Desirable:
- CIPD or equivalent qualification.
- Experience working within a unionised environment.
- Track record of supporting successful culture change initiatives.
