H9 Talent Solutions are recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business for a Project Engineer specialising in Controls & Instrumentation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly respected engineering team delivering a range of capital and continuous improvement projects within a busy manufacturing environment. You’ll be responsible for managing projects from concept through to completion, ensuring delivery against scope, budget and programme while working closely with engineering, operations and external contractors.

The Role

  • Delivering engineering projects from design through to commissioning
  • Managing project plans, budgets and resource allocation
  • Supporting PLC, HMI, SCADA and instrumentation-related projects
  • Coordinating internal stakeholders, contractors and suppliers
  • Ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget
  • Producing technical documentation and project reports
  • Carrying out site inspections and monitoring project progress
  • Supporting procurement activities and equipment specification
  • Identifying project risks and implementing mitigation plans
  • Providing technical support and mentoring within the engineering team

About You

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline
  • Previous experience delivering engineering or capital projects within manufacturing
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMI, SCADA and industrial control systems
  • Strong project management and organisational skills
  • Experience managing contractors and ensuring safe delivery of projects
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Continuous Improvement or Operational Excellence experience would be advantageous
