I am supporting a client based in Runcorn looking for an experienced Company Accountant to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.
This vacancy is full time on site but offering fantastic benefits such as career progression, good pension contribution and life insurance benefits.
Responsibilities as an Accountant:
- Manage the 2 Finance Team members’ daily activities.
- Full responsibility of the AP and AR ledger, stock ledger, reconciling of supplier statements and general ledger housekeeping.
- Maintenance of the company’s fixed asset register.
- Approving of employee expense claims.
- Daily bank reconciliation.
- Prepare of monthly Management Accounts with Balance Sheet recons.
- Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures and effective systems of financial control.
- Maintain product costings.
- Cash flow management.
- Payroll administration.
- Manage the IT issues with external IT provider as backup.
- Submission of quarterly VAT returns.
Requirements:
- AAT Level 4 qualified with a proven track record of at least 2 years in manufacturing.
- Sage 200 experience essential.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, strong IT skills, with the ability to quickly learn new systems.
