Our client, a large construction & property services company, has an exciting opportunity for a Senior HR Advisor to join their team!
The role:
- Provide hands-on operational HR support, while also contributing to the strategic development of the people function.
- Coordinate employee benefits, including queries, enrolment, and reporting.
- Oversee sickness and absence reporting and support managers with follow-up.
- Support governance of pension scheme and compliance processes.
- Act as a point of contact for CIPHR (HRIS) users, resolving issues and supporting training.
- Produce reports and management information using CIPHR and other tools.
- Support onboarding and induction processes.
- Lead/support on HR projects.
- Provide guidance to managers on HR policies and procedures.
- Support the development and upskilling of HR Assistants, and act as a role model.
- Support organisational development, succession planning, and learning & development.
- Use data and analytics to inform decision-making and identify trends.
- Collaborate with the Head of People & Communications on strategic projects.
- Champion employee engagement, inclusion, and communication strategies.
Key skills/experience:
- CIPD level 5 or working towards or CIPD level 3 with demonstrable experience covering the role.
- Proven experience in a generalist HR role, ideally with exposure to both operational and strategic work.
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
- Strong working knowledge of HR systems (CIPHR desirable).
- Working knowledge of IR35.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work across different teams.
