Team Leader – Recruitment Location: Derby (Office-based) Salary: Negotiable DOE + Uncapped Commission + Excellent Benefits Are you an experienced Recruitment Team Leader or Senior Recruitment Consultant ready to take the next step in your career? We're looking for an ambitious, driven and commercially minded Team Leader to join a well-established and growing recruitment business in Derby. This is an excellent opportunity to lead, develop and grow a team while remaining hands-on with your own clients and business development. The Role As Team Leader, you'll be responsible for managing, mentoring and motivating a team of Recruitment Consultants, ensuring they achieve both individual and team targets while maintaining exceptional service levels for clients and candidates. You'll lead from the front by continuing to bill, developing new business opportunities and helping shape the future growth of the Derby office. Key Responsibilities * Lead, coach and develop a team of Recruitment Consultants. * Set individual and team objectives, monitoring performance against KPIs and revenue targets. * Conduct regular one-to-one meetings, performance reviews and coaching sessions. * Support consultants with client meetings, negotiations and candidate management. * Drive new business development and expand existing client relationships. * Manage your own recruitment desk, generating consistent billings. * Recruit, onboard and train new consultants as the team grows. * Ensure best practice recruitment processes and compliance are maintained. * Foster a positive, high-performance and collaborative team culture. * Report on team performance and contribute to business strategy. About You You'll ideally have: * Previous experience as a Recruitment Team Leader, Managing Consultant, Principal Consultant or Senior Recruitment Consultant. * A proven track record of billing and winning new business. * Experience managing, mentoring or developing recruitment consultants. * Strong leadership, coaching and motivational skills. * Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities. * Commercial awareness with a results-driven mindset. * The ability to lead by example in a fast-paced recruitment environment.
