We’re working with a high-growth, global SaaS organisation at the forefront of Cloud Data Platform optimisation. They’re hiring an experienced Solutions Engineer / Sales Engineer / Pre‑Sales Engineer to partner closely with enterprise sales teams and drive technical wins across complex deals. This is a customer-facing, high-impact role ideal for someone who blends technical depth with commercial acumen and thrives in a fast-paced, cloud-native environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead technical discovery and qualification with enterprise customers
- Deliver tailored product demonstrations across Snowflake, Databricks, and BigQuery ecosystems
- Own Proof of Value (POV) / Proof of Concept (POC) engagements end-to-end
- Build compelling business cases and ROI models focused on cost optimisation and performance improvements
- Act as a trusted advisor on Cloud Data Platform strategy, FinOps, and cost efficiency
- Partner with Sales to drive technical wins across the full deal cycle
- Translate customer feedback into actionable insights for product and engineering teams
Qualifications
- 6–10+ years’ experience as a Solutions Engineer / Sales Engineer / Pre‑Sales Consultant
- Strong experience in B2B SaaS and cloud technologies
- Hands‑on knowledge of Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or similar data platforms
- Experience with cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proven track record supporting enterprise sales cycles
- Strong understanding of FinOps, cloud cost optimisation, or data platform performance tuning
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
