A brilliant opportunity to join a fast-growing, AI-native law firm that is redefining how legal services are delivered. Backed by a tier‑1 US VC with close to $10m raised across two funding rounds, this business has already processed over $200m worth of legal work since launching in 2025. The founding team includes senior lawyers from elite international firms and a CTO who was an early AI/ML hire at a leading UK neobank that scaled to a multi‑billion dollar valuation.
This is not a paralegal position – it’s a completely new category of role. As an Operations Associate, you will work alongside senior lawyers and proprietary AI systems to execute legal matters end‑to‑end at startup speed. No law degree is required. You will run legal matters against structured playbooks including due diligence reviews, contract reviews, professional appointments and ancillary documentation.
You’ll work directly with AI agents – prompting, reviewing outputs, and escalating only what requires senior judgment. You will track your own throughput metrics including speed, accuracy and error rates, continuously improving week on week. You’ll also coordinate with clients and counterparties on documents, emails and status updates, and contribute to improving the playbooks and workflows as the team finds faster, cleaner ways of operating.
You will be 1–2 years out of university with experience in a high‑throughput operational or GTM role at a startup – think BDR/SDR, AE, CS, strategy, ops or solutions engineering. You are a systems thinker who spots bottlenecks and fixes them. You follow detailed instructions precisely without drift and your work product is consistently clean. You optimise for done‑well over done‑perfectly and you are comfortable using AI tools like Claude or ChatGPT as a daily teammate, not a threat. Startup experience is essential – this is not the right fit for candidates from large corporate or big tech environments.
On offer is a competitive salary dependent on experience, based in London (Holborn) with an in‑person preferred working arrangement. This is an early‑stage team of around 10 people where everyone ships – performance is measured in output, not hours. For people who run ahead of the role, scope and responsibility grow fast with the ceiling set by output, not tenure.
