H2 Construct is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced and driven Project Quantity Surveyor to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of projects, lead commercial activities, and play a key role in delivering successful construction schemes within a supportive and forward-thinking business.
As a Project QS, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account. You will work closely with the wider project team, ensuring strong cost control, risk management, and value delivery across all stages of the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities- Managing the commercial aspects of projects from start through to completion
- Procuring subcontractors and managing tender processes
- Evaluating subcontractor quotations and negotiating terms
- Administering subcontract accounts, including valuations, variations, and final accounts
- Monitoring project costs, cash flow, and profitability
- Identifying and managing commercial risks and opportunities
- Producing accurate and timely financial reports
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Strong understanding of commercial management and contract administration
- Ability to manage projects independently while working within a team environment
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and financial skills
- Proactive and solution-focused approach
- Strong communication and IT skills (Excel, commercial software, etc.)
- Relevant degree or qualification in Quantity Surveying or similar (preferred)
