Salary: £12.76 per hour

Hours: Monday–Friday, 7.30am – 4.00pm with weekend working required as overtime at peak times

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

The Role

As a Waste Operative, you will play an important role in the day to day running of our busy recycling facility. This is a varied, hands on position where no two days are the same. Duties will include:

  • Working on the weighbridge, operating machinery, carrying out yard duties, and assisting at the picking station to ensure waste is processed safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operating the site weighbridge and accurately recording vehicle weights.
  • Working on the picking station to sort recyclable materials.
  • Carrying out general yard duties to maintain a safe and tidy site.
  • Operating plant and machinery (full training provided where required).
  • Assisting with loading and unloading vehicles where necessary.
  • Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
  • Supporting colleagues across the site to ensure efficient operations.
