King Highway Products is the UK's leading supplier of specialist vehicles and equipment to the traffic management industry. We design and build specialist vehicles at our Market Harborough site and are looking for a capable and enthusiastic person to support our continued growth.
King Highway Products is looking for a sharp, organised and enthusiastic individual to join us as a Sales & Production Coordinator. This is a varied role at the centre of our specialist vehicle-building operation. You will support the sales and production teams throughout the full vehicle-build process, from receiving a customer order and setting up the build records through to vehicle registration, final documentation and customer handover. Previous experience within the automotive or manufacturing industry would be helpful, but it is not essential. We are happy to consider someone at the beginning of their career who can demonstrate the right attitude, initiative and willingness to learn. The successful candidate will need to be hardworking, quick to learn and confident dealing with different departments, customers and suppliers. You should enjoy solving problems, taking ownership and thinking beyond the immediate task.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Set up and maintain new vehicle-build records, WIP records, serial numbers and build folders
- Keep the sales order book, chassis delivery schedule and production information accurate and up to date
- Work closely with the Sales Specialist to coordinate customer orders and ensure all build information, documentation and requirements are complete and accurate
- Assist with production scheduling and support the production team with day-to-day administrative queries
- Raise purchase orders, process sales invoices and maintain relevant spreadsheets
- Coordinate third-party suppliers, vehicle livery, IVA inspections and PDIs
- Complete new-vehicle registration and taxation administration
- Ensure all vehicle, compliance and handover documentation is complete and correctly filed
- Work with the Parts and Warranty Manager to record and support the rectification of in-build defects
- Prepare customer handover packs and ensure the Aftersales Department receives all relevant information
- Support the administration of vehicle camera and tracker systems
