About the H. W. Martin Safety Fencing Limited:

H W Martin Safety Fencing are a leading supplier of vehicle restraint systems within the UK infrastructure market, and have depots based in Alfreton, Derbyshire and Tormarton, Bristol.

The Role:

We are seeking a Project Manager with a civil engineering or infrastructure background to oversee delivery of VRS works across England. Direct experience of VRS is not essential for this role; the role requires an individual who is experienced in delivering infrastructure works for Tier 1 Contractors and National Clients.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee multiple projects from pre-construction through to completion.
  • Manage site teams including operatives, supervisors and subcontractors.
  • Ensure projects are delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
  • Liaise directly with clients and key stakeholders.
  • Produce and review safe systems of work, ITPs and programmes.
  • Co‑ordinate labour, plant, materials and subcontractors effectively.
  • Attend client meetings, progress meetings and provide updates at internal meetings.
  • Support project delivery teams with technical and operational guidance.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Strong IT skills and experience of client portals and processes such as CEMAR, Novade, Transportal and the like.
  • Effective leadership, organisational and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience of working in the civil engineering or highways sector.
  • Experience of working in the VRS or Fencing industry preferable; our wider team will provide support on VRS technical knowledge and prior experience is not essential.
  • Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
