H W Martin (Traffic Management) Ltd is a company that provides data-led, traffic management services within a temporary environment. We guide vehicles around roadworks in the safest, most efficient way possible whilst permanent improvements are made to the country's highways. We collate data to find ways of making the temporary traffic management strategies we deploy as safe, swift and synchronised as possible. We also provide an emergency traffic management intervention on behalf of our clients in the event of a situation that poses an immediate risk to health, life, property or the environment.
Sizewell C is a large, planned nuclear power station being built on the Suffolk coast in the UK. The project is expected to generate 3.2 GW of clean electricity, enough for 6 million homes. This is a significant part of the UK's strategy for clean energy and energy security, with the goal of providing reliable, low-carbon power and supporting economic growth.
The Project HSEQ Lead reports directly into the HWM SZC Project Director providing support to the HWM SZC senior management team and manages the HSEQ function.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead on liaison with the SZC client team on all project HSEQ matters.
- Manage the HWM SZC HSEQ function and undertake management duties in line with HWM HR requirements (i.e. appraisals, regular reviews, etc.).
- Ensure that all HSEQ KPI targets are understood across the HWM SZC project team and that all staff are aware of their deliverables.
- Develop an HSEQ monitoring plan (audits, inspection, engagement tours, management reviews) in line with HWM Group and SZC requirements.
- Develop and lead on reporting to the client on all HSEQ matters relating to the HWM SZC contract.
- Ensure that the project management system is maintained in line with HWM and SZC requirements.
- Develop reports on SZC HSEQ performance and provide to the SZC team, HWM Group H&S Manager and Group ESG Manager.
- NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent.
- ISEP Certificate in Sustainability & Environmental Management.
- CSCS MAP (managers and professionals).
The ability to liaise with all levels of management on a professional level, using good communication/interpersonal skills.
