Reports to: Business Development Manager
Location: Hybrid 8.30-5pm, two set days per week in our Aylesbury Office/Home
Purpose of the role: The Commercial Support Officer supports the Business Development Manager in growing the UK business through general business development and interactions with prospective and existing customers.
General responsibilities:
- Interact and cooperate effectively with all company employees.
- Build trust, communicate effectively, drive execution, focus on customer delivery, collaborate, solve problems creatively, and demonstrate integrity.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships across departments.
Specific responsibilities:
- Identify new business opportunities in the UK Healthcare Market.
- Conduct outbound calls to generate new opportunities and arrange meetings for the Business Development Manager.
- Maintain contact with potential customers under guidance.
- Monitor and update the sales pipeline and reports for management.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies and plans to meet company objectives.
- Assist in managing branding, content, print production, and distribution under guidance.
- Manage the company's online presence and website, including content updates and traffic monitoring.
- Research, organize, and attend exhibitions, conferences, and events, often with overnight stays.
- Organize the annual User Group meeting, including attendance.
- Support the Business Development Manager with customer research and presentation materials.
- Conduct market research for current and future products.
- Manage customer communications such as newsletters under guidance.
- Monitor healthcare press and media, providing feedback to management.
- Monitor budgets and deliver marketing activities within budget.
- Provide data and reports to senior management.
- Monitor tender opportunities and manage related documentation as needed.
- Track and complete the company's Evergreen Assessment and Carbon Reduction Plan.
- Support the creation of training videos and documentation with the Project Team.
- Assist with Information Governance Toolkit and Cyber Essentials submissions when required.
- Collaborate on GDPR compliance for marketing data collection.
