This is a role where you will get to bring your ideas and actually execute them and look for opportunities to make things better. This isn’t a role where you’ll be stuck behind a desk generating reports; they need someone who will be happy to work closely with the production team to make sure production runs smoothly. It will be a varied role instead of monotonous! You will be managing and maintaining the production build plan, keeping everyone in the loop and also working closely with purchasing so there are no material shortages. As Production Planner you will also be: * Updating and maintaining the production build plan * Spotting and correcting issues in the build process * Working with purchasing to ensure materials are in the right place at the right time * improving and maintaining the upkeeping of the ERP system The ideal Production Co-ordinator would have some, but not necessarily all of the following skills and experience: * Experience as a production co-ordinator or production planner * Experience using an MRP / ERP system * Understanding of manufacturing processes * A passion for driving improvements * Ideally coming from an engineering environment
