Have you been looking for that next step up, where you can deliver advanced electromechanical products used for research all over the world? You’ll have full accountability for Engineering and NPD, and the aim of the game is to get products to market and achieve project deadlines.
You’ll be joining a company of less than 40 people, with a global presence and excellent reputation in the market. So your team will be a manageable size, there isn’t so many people that you’ll forget everyone’s name, and most importantly you will be able to make a huge impact as part of the management team. With this also comes the opportunity to progress to Engineering Director. With an exciting roadmap to deliver over the next few years, get this underway and show your capability, and this will be a clear next step for you. But achieving deadlines is critical to this.
You will have been in a role where you’ve overseen NPD projects and have achieved deadlines. We need someone who can strategise and create the plans, not just run with an existing plan. You will be proactive and take action to reduce possible risks to projects before they happen.
But where do the ideas come from? Like any business, there are lots of avenues, but the main driver will be customers. You’ll be able to go on a few trips a year to meet with customers and understand what’s needed in their labs, getting ideas for new NPD projects.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience of successfully delivering NPD projects, this can be in any technical engineering sector.
- Expertise in planning, controlling, and delivering NPD projects.
- Experience of leading a multidiscipline engineering design team.
- A proven track record of successfully working in a similar role.
