This is a stable, long-term opportunity within a high-volume, fast-paced food production environment, supplying major UK retailers. You will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and improving automated production and packaging machinery to ensure maximum uptime and food safety compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Electrical fault-finding on automated food production machinery
  • Working with PLC-controlled systems (Siemens / Allen Bradley preferred)
  • Planned and reactive maintenance across production and packaging lines
  • Minimising downtime in a high-output FMCG environment
  • Supporting hygiene, food safety, and audit standards (BRC, GMP)
  • Assisting with machinery upgrades and installations
  • Promoting a strong health & safety culture

About You

You will be an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with:

  • NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in food manufacturing / FMCG / high-speed production
  • Strong electrical fault-finding ability
  • Comfortable working flexible shift patterns
  • A proactive, reliable approach to maintenance

Desirable (Not Essential):

  • Multi-skilled (basic mechanical skills)
  • Experience with BRC / GMP environments
  • TPM / Continuous Improvement exposure
