This is a stable, long-term opportunity within a high-volume, fast-paced food production environment, supplying major UK retailers. You will be responsible for maintaining, fault-finding, and improving automated production and packaging machinery to ensure maximum uptime and food safety compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical fault-finding on automated food production machinery
- Working with PLC-controlled systems (Siemens / Allen Bradley preferred)
- Planned and reactive maintenance across production and packaging lines
- Minimising downtime in a high-output FMCG environment
- Supporting hygiene, food safety, and audit standards (BRC, GMP)
- Assisting with machinery upgrades and installations
- Promoting a strong health & safety culture
About You
You will be an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer with:
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Proven experience in food manufacturing / FMCG / high-speed production
- Strong electrical fault-finding ability
- Comfortable working flexible shift patterns
- A proactive, reliable approach to maintenance
Desirable (Not Essential):
- Multi-skilled (basic mechanical skills)
- Experience with BRC / GMP environments
- TPM / Continuous Improvement exposure
