You will be joining a busy engineering team responsible for keeping high-volume production equipment, plant, services and site assets running safely, efficiently and reliably. This is a hands-on role suited to an engineer who enjoys fault finding, planned maintenance, continuous improvement and being part of a fast-moving manufacturing environment.

The Shift Pattern:

This role operates a rotating 12-hour days and nights shift pattern.

Days: During the first week of the days rotation, you will work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00am to 6:00pm. During the second week, you will work Wednesday and Thursday only, again from 6:00am to 6:00pm, with the remaining five days off.

Nights: During the first week of the nights rotation, you will work Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00pm to 6:00am. During the second week, you will work Wednesday and Thursday only, from 6:00pm to 6:00am, with the remaining five days off. The rotation then returns to days, providing regular blocks of time off throughout the year.

The Role:

As a Multi-Skilled Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving plant, production equipment, services and site assets to ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance across site equipment
  • Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults
  • Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
  • Minimise downtime through effective fault finding and problem solving
  • Maintain engineering systems and CMMS records
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety, food safety and environmental standards
  • Support production teams to maximise operational performance
  • Participate in shift handovers and engineering meetings
  • Maintain GMP and quality standards across the site
  • Liaise with contractors, suppliers and internal departments when required

The Person We're Looking for:

  • Previous experience in a maintenance engineering role
  • Strong electrical fault-finding skills
  • FMCG, food manufacturing or wider manufacturing experience
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • The ability to work independently and take ownership of issues
  • Experience using CMMS systems (desirable)
  • A practical approach to balancing reactive and planned maintenance

Essential Qualification You Must Have One Of The Following:

  • Recognised Level 3 Engineering Qualification
  • GNVQ or equivalent engineering qualification
  • Electrical qualification
  • Relevant engineering degree
