We are currently working with a number of busy manufacturing and food production sites across Leeds and West Yorkshire who require Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineers to support increased production, project work, and short-term cover. These are contract / freelance opportunities, ideal for engineers who prefer flexibility, consistent work, and strong hourly rates.
The Opportunity
You will be supporting fast-paced production environments where uptime is critical. Work will involve a mix of:
- Reactive breakdown support
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Electrical fault finding on production and packaging machinery
- Supporting continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Typical Equipment You'll Work On
- Conveyors, packaging lines, fillers, wrappers
- Checkweighers, metal detectors
- PLC systems (Siemens S7, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi)
- Automated production machinery in FMCG environments
What We're Looking For
- Electrical bias (ideally 60:40+ electrical, would consider 50/50 too)
- Experience in manufacturing, FMCG, or food production environments
- Strong fault-finding ability - PLC fault finding beneficial
- Ability to hit the ground running in fast-paced sites
- Available for short-term or ongoing contract work
