H-Power is a UK-based, AIM-listed clean energy company developing zero-emissions hydrogen power systems. Using ammonia to produce low-carbon hydrogen at the point of need, and fuel cells to convert it into reliable, off-grid power, H-Power offers a scalable, practical alternative to fossil fuels, serving construction, infrastructure, transport and power generation sectors. Behind the technology is a team driven by a shared purpose: to accelerate the shift away from fossil fuels.

The Role

H-Power is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to take ownership of the end-to-end supply chain as the business continues its transition from technology development into product deployment and scale. This is not a role inheriting a mature supply chain function, this is an opportunity for someone who has seen what good looks like and can help build it. Working closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Project teams, you’ll help define the structure, processes and supplier strategy needed to support current programmes and future growth.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking ownership of the end-to-end supply chain function across procurement, logistics, materials control and planning
  • Developing supply chain processes, governance and operating frameworks that support scale
  • Building and managing supplier relationships, performance and sourcing strategies
  • Leading procurement activity including supplier selection, negotiation and commercial agreements
  • Improving logistics performance across inbound materials, outbound shipments, freight and warehousing
  • Strengthening materials control, inventory accuracy, stock policies and supply continuity
  • Working closely with Operations to improve works order release, material flow and planning discipline
  • Supporting New Product Introduction activity, ensuring supply chain readiness from concept through deployment
  • Driving ERP / MRP visibility, reporting accuracy and supply chain data integrity
  • Identifying supply risks and building resilience across the supplier network
  • Delivering measurable improvements across cost, quality, lead time and operational performance

We’re keen to speak with people with experience in:

  • Supply chain leadership within engineering, manufacturing or industrial environments
  • End-to-end supply chain ownership across procurement, logistics, inventory and planning
  • Building, improving or reshaping supply chain functions and processes
  • Supplier negotiation, commercial agreements and performance management
  • Working closely with engineering, operations and project teams
  • Supporting complex engineered products, assemblies or technical manufacturing environments
  • ERP / MRP systems and supply chain reporting
  • Operating in scaling, fast-moving or evolving businesses

Desirable:

  • CIPS, APICS or equivalent
  • Exposure to Lean / CI methodologies
