Using ammonia to produce low-carbon hydrogen at the point of need, and fuel cells to convert it into reliable, off-grid power, H-Power offers a scalable, practical alternative to fossil fuels, serving construction, infrastructure, transport and power generation sectors. H-Power is looking for a Senior Electrical Design Engineer to join the team and work across the full development lifecycle, from feasibility and requirements capture through design, build, test and operation on hydrogen fuel cell, hydrogen generation and integrated power systems.
- Leading delivery of electrical developments and project deliverables
- Undertaking trade-offs and defining system-level architectures for electrical solutions
- Developing single line diagrams through to detailed electrical designs
- Selecting electrical equipment for the required environment, including ATEX-rated components
- Generating requirements, design specifications and compliance documentation
- Undertaking fault analysis and hands-on testing and evaluation
- Ensuring quality of electrical deliverables and appropriate configuration control
- Mentoring and coaching junior engineers
Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
- Design of electrical systems compliant to EN 60204
- Siemens PLC hardware selection and configuration
- Control panel design, verification and documentation
- Ability to travel and work internationally
