H-Power is a UK-based, AIM-listed clean energy company developing zero-emissions hydrogen power systems. Using ammonia to produce low-carbon hydrogen at the point of need, and fuel cells to convert it into reliable, off-grid power, H-Power offers a scalable, practical alternative to fossil fuels, serving construction, infrastructure, transport and power generation sectors. H-Power is seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support and improve product and process quality across the Engineering, Production and Prototyping functions. Reporting to the Quality Manager, you'll apply quality engineering principles, data-driven problem solving and robust process controls to ensure products are built right first time. This is a technically orientated, cross-functional role requiring strong analytical capability and experience with structured quality tools and methodologies.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting and maintaining the QMS in line with ISO 9001 requirements
- Preparing and maintaining quality documentation, inspection plans and records
- Supporting internal and external audits and tracking corrective actions to closure
- Leading non-conformance investigations using 8D, 5 Whys and Ishikawa methodologies
- Defining in-process and end-of-line inspection activities and frequency
- Facilitating site-wide calibration activities, ensuring equipment is controlled and traceable
- Acting as a core member of the MRB for non-conforming materials and products
- Analysing quality data to identify systemic issues and drive continuous improvement
- Promoting right-first-time behaviours across all business functions
We're keen to speak with people with experience in:
- Working within an ISO 9001 Quality Management System environment
- Hands-on quality engineering or similar quality-focused roles
- Structured problem-solving, 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, Poka-Yoke, 5S
- Interpreting engineering drawings relating to system layout and functionality
- Inspection and measurement systems
- Six Sigma Green or Black Belt (desirable)
- Statistical analysis tools such as Minitab (desirable)
- Knowledge of compressed gas systems, hydrogen, nitrogen (desirable)
