H-Power is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineering Team Manager to lead and develop their Electrical Team at a pivotal moment in the company's growth. This role combines strong hands-on technical expertise with people leadership driving quality electrical deliverables across both development and project work. This role would suit a senior electrical engineer with a background in instrumentation & control panel design who is ready to step into a leadership position within a cutting-edge clean energy environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Taking technical ownership of electrical design across multiple engineering programmes
  • Designing and reviewing electrical schematics, control panels and manufacturing documentation
  • Defining system-level electrical architectures
  • Designing LV power distribution and protection systems
  • Specifying electrical components, instrumentation, cabling and associated hardware
  • Supporting build, integration, FAT, commissioning and live troubleshooting
  • Supporting safety and compliance activities including HAZOP, FMEA, SIL and design risk reviews
  • Providing technical leadership, guidance and mentoring to the engineering team

We're keen to speak with people with experience in:

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a relevant engineering discipline
  • Detailed knowledge and experience of BS7671:2018
  • Design of electrical systems compliant to EN 60204
  • Functional safety compliance to EN 61511
  • Siemens PLC hardware and software
  • ATEX hazardous environments
  • Team leadership and line management
  • Ability to travel and work internationally at H-Power's and customer's facilities
