H&MV Engineering is seeking an advanced civil engineer apprentice to join our team in our team .
The selected candidate will embark in a degree apprenticeship at a university over a four to five-year period.
This is an exciting opportunity to work on a broad range of projects across various sectors such as data centres and renewables, including battery and solar farms.
The role
- Attend project kick‑off meetings and weekly progress & design meetings.
- Ensure effective communication with the project team, subcontractors, and the client.
- Maintain the Share Point/ACC CSA Subcontractor folder structure according to standards, and modifying it with Quality Manager approval.
- Maintan and keep a detailed site diary.
- Upload all site photos to the project’s Photo folder
- Support the Project Engineer, Project Manager, and Site Manager in managing CSA contractors throughout the project.
- Assist CSA subcontractors with any project‑related issues.
- Provide weekly reports on H&MV/Subcontractor meetings, RFI status, KPIs on technical submittal approval, and QA documentation from the quality tracker.
- Record lessons learned from the project during weekly meetings and bi‑monthly presentations.
- Minute all attended meetings in the site diary.
- Contribute updates in project meetings regarding design, quality, program, and commercial matters.
- Propose value‑engineering solutions when applicable.
- Assist the Site Manager with completing and issuing the H&MV Weekly Progress Report on substation and gridline works, uploading it weekly to the project management folder in Share Point/ACC.
- Fully participate in all training offered as part of the Apprentice Development Programme.
Requirements
(Apply online only) UCAS points from
- A LEVELS including Mathematics at grade C and a science based subject at a grade C or above must be achieved. (ideally physics)
- BTEC National Diploma, must include Distinction in maths modules.
- Full and clean driver's licence.
- Ability to travel on short notice.
As part of our Apprenticeship Scheme, the successful candidates will receive training and education towards their professional qualification in Civil Engineering.
