About the Role:

The Commercial Administrator supports the Commercial Team by owning administrative, reporting, and coordination tasks, allowing Quantity Surveyors and Commercial Managers to focus on commercial strategy, risk, and contract management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Document Control & Contract Admin: Maintain subcontract documentation, contract registers, filing/version control, and issue packages/payment notices
  • Commercial Reporting & Data: Produce reports, manage datasets, update Power BI dashboards, and track variations/events/notices
  • Financial Support: Assist with payment applications, reconciliation, payment schedules, and cashflow forecasting
  • Procurement & Subcontractors: Manage enquiries, procurement logs, onboarding, and draft subcontract templates
  • Systems & Governance: Ensure procedural compliance, maintain folder structures, support system/process improvements, upload PayApps data
  • Meetings & Communication: Prepare packs, record minutes, and track actions/follow-ups
  • Data Quality & Assurance: Validate reports/trackers, identify gaps/inconsistencies, and escalate issues

Key Requirements:

  • Relevant Experience working in an admin role, ideally within a commercial setting
  • Preferably some knowledge of the construction or civil engineering market

Skills & Competencies:

  • Good IT Skills - Word, Excel etc
  • Excellent communication skills
