About the Role: The Graduate Electrical Project Engineer will play a key role on-site in supporting the delivery of complex Data Centre, Renewables and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects. The role involves close coordination with design, procurement, commissioning, and construction teams. The successful candidate will oversee the quality and safety of installations, support commissioning efforts, and manage technical interfaces with subcontractors and vendors. This is a site-based role requiring frequent travel or relocation depending on project needs, ideal for ambitious engineers looking to accelerate their career in a high-performance EPC environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the design and specification of HV electrical systems (11kV–400kV), including substations, switchgear, and cable systems.
  • Collaborate with the design/engineering/electrical project engineer team & project manager to deliver the project objectives, scope, and electrical requirements ahead of clients expectations, maintaining H&MVs excellent reputation in delivering top class HV projects.
  • Contribute to technical documentation, risk assessments, and method statements.
  • Attend site visits to support surveys, installations, testing, and commissioning activities. Liaise with clients, contractors, and equipment suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Ensure compliance with UK legislation, DNO/TSO standards, and health & safety regulations.
  • Gain exposure to protection & control schemes, earthing design, and grid compliance requirements.
  • Support the preparation of reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders.
  • Taking the construction issue designs through the construction phase and feeding back lessons learned to the design team weekly.
  • Manage the material approval requests and ensure construction is as per the approved materials.
  • Assisting electrical project engineer on ensuring the project ITPs are set up and approved prior to construction kick off and that the sub contractors and site team completing them have been taken through how to complete them onsite.
  • Assisting electrical project engineer develop and maintain test packs, review documentation to ensure completion and accuracy.

Key Requirements:

  • Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Interest towards gaining exposure in HV/MV systems or EPC project environments.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate for project needs.
  • Understanding of the full project lifecycle, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning phases.
