This is a lead role within the Architecture team which has accountability for technology strategy and roadmap within the Mobility and Workplace Services domain.
That domain includes:
- Personal User devices (including laptops, tablets, smart phones)
- Shared devices (including collaboration audio visual tools and printers)
- Internal Identity and directory services
- Personal collaboration tools (including Microsoft Office 365)
- IT Service Desk
- Assistive technology
- Device and Infrastructure Management and Monitoring systems
Providing technical governance for new or updated solutions utilising the existing Group platforms, the introduction of new services or removal of end of life services.
Delivering technical consultancy throughout the service lifecycle from project to service delivery and defining best practice and standards for the platform.
Communicating the vision and working with customers to ensure business needs are represented in the technology roadmaps.
A broad IT Infrastructure background, preferably in solutions or enterprise architecture roles working within the user device, productivity and identity domains.
The ability to work under direction in challenging and unpredictable environments, playing a key role in influencing strategic decision making and understand strategic consequences of IT decisions.
A focused approach on strategic alignment of technical design and architecture to meet business growth and direction.
Essential Criteria:
- Provenexperience of providing internal consultancy on potential uses and appropriateness of infrastructure technologies and driving benefits from these technologies.
- An understanding of large scale infrastructure technologies including but not limited to: End User Device Configuration; Software Delivery; Hybrid Cloud Computing; Infrastructure Security Controls; Device Management Processes and Tools.
Desirable Criteria:
Experience of:
- Modern cloud based device management tools and technologies such as Intune, Windows Autopilot, cloud hosted virtualised devices, or similar technologies.
Modern identity tooling such as Active Directory, Azure AD. - Hybrid Cloud Migration.
- In room audio/visual conferencing and/or Intelligent Building IT integration.
- Azure, AWS M365 experience/certification.
- Working to or already have professional IT qualifications such as TOGAF, BCS or CITP.
