The benefits team, part of the Customer Compliance Group (CCG) Transformation Directorate (TD) Enterprise Portfolio Office (EPO), drives benefits-focused transformational change across CCG, with a vision to be recognised and delivering best practice transformational change. As a widely respected Directorate within the Customer Compliance Group (CCG) its an exciting time to join us as we continue to grow and evolve to define and deliver the ambitions of the CCG Transformation Roadmap. Job description You will be providing high-quality Benefits Management support across the portfolio of change transforming CCG, including working with specific programmes and projects. Planning, coordinating and actioning benefits management activity across the team needed to engage with key stakeholders to identify, quantify and establish ownership for beneficial changes in operational delivery. Developing and maintaining key programme / project and portfolio level benefits management artifacts and ensuring they are produced to agreed standards. Providing input to and content for business cases. Working in a fast passed environment at portfolio, programme and project levels, you will be able to deliver effectively under pressure by planning and managing multiple, competing priorities, often to challenging deadlines. You will identify and analyse technical data, from which you will draw trends and conclusion, allowing you to support requirements prioritisation, assure benefits achievability and communicate benefits and performance improvement opportunities to stakeholders. Processing information quickly, working flexibly and independently, comfortable with a degree of ambiguity you will liaise effectively with and influencing decision makers. Person specification Develop and maintain a portfolio-level benefits realisation plan / register that reflects approved initiative-level forecast and actual benefits realisation. Deliver regular and ad hoc progress reports for the Transformation Hub (portfolio dashboard) and escalate any benefits-related issues and opportunities to the appropriate portfolio governance body. Develop and maintain a benefits management framework for CCG that includes standards aligned with those of HRMC and industry best practiced. Via stage gate and stand-alone assurance processes, review the effectiveness of benefits management practices at programme and project level. Support specific projects to plan, develop and produce the benefits artifacts (maps, profiles, realisation strategy, realisation plans, baselines) to agreed timelines and standards that include identifying and quantifying benefits aligned to delivery requirements, gaining benefits owner sign off, define process flows and controls, establish responsibilities & accountabilities, measurement, reporting and evaluation strategies. Build benefit management maturity, knowledge, application, capability and practice within senior stakeholder groups, programme boards, project, change and the benefits teams, through training and awareness-building sessions. Develop and maintain a lessons learned repository as part of a body of knowledge repository that supports those within the team and projects to deliver their benefits management responsibilities. Co-ordinate and where appropriate draft benefits management content for business cases, ensuring all relevant factors are included, in line with organisational requirements. Facilitate CCGs compliance keyholder business case review process. Maintain and drive delivery of a workload plan for the benefits management team. Provide expert advice and support to the benefits management, including line management for the benefits support team. Essential Criteria You will already have experience of: Working in a Benefits Management environment with relevant qualifications (APMG Managing Benefits) Working with a complex workload and being able to plan and prioritize effectively. Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with key senior stakeholders. Reviewing complex data, identifying issues, spotting trends or risks, and determining appropriate solutions. Working in either a Portfolio Management or Programme & Project Management environment.
