Maintenance Manager
A Private Luxury Services apartment in Central is looking for an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and presentation of two apartments.
This is a practical role for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, responds calmly to operational issues and understands the importance of completing repairs with minimal disruption to guests.
Key responsibilities
- Managing the apartment's daily maintenance requirements
- Completing and coordinating repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
- Developing and maintaining a planned preventative maintenance programme
- Carrying out regular inspections and identifying areas requiring attention
- Responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues and guest-related requests
- Monitoring essential building systems, equipment, and utilities
- Managing external contractors and ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standard.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance records, certificates, and compliance documentation
- Supporting fire safety, health and safety, water hygiene and other statutory compliance requirements
- Monitoring maintenance costs, stock levels and the use of materials
- Working closely with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments
- Helping to reduce energy consumption and improve the hotel’s environmental performance
- Participating in the emergency call-out arrangements when required
What we are looking for
- Previous experience in a hotel maintenance management or similar facilities role
- Strong practical knowledge of general repairs and building maintenance
- Good understanding of health and safety and statutory compliance
- Experience managing contractors and planned maintenance activities
- The ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively to urgent issues
- A proactive, organised, and hands-on approach
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and as part of the hotel management team
- Flexibility to work according to the operational needs of the hotel
- Relevant technical qualifications would be an advantage.
