Maintenance Manager
A Private Luxury Services apartment in Central is looking for an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee the maintenance, safety, and presentation of two apartments.
This is a practical role for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards, responds calmly to operational issues and understands the importance of completing repairs with minimal disruption to guests.
Key responsibilities
Managing the apartment's daily maintenance requirements
Completing and coordinating repairs across guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities
Developing and maintaining a planned preventative maintenance programme
Carrying out regular inspections and identifying areas requiring attention
Responding promptly to urgent maintenance issues and guest-related requests
Monitoring essential building systems, equipment, and utilities
Managing external contractors and ensuring work is completed safely and to the required standard.
Maintaining accurate maintenance records, certificates, and compliance documentation
Supporting fire safety, health and safety, water hygiene and other statutory compliance requirements
Monitoring maintenance costs, stock levels and the use of materials
Working closely with Housekeeping, Front Office and other departments
Helping to reduce energy consumption and improve the hotel’s environmental performance
Participating in the emergency call-out arrangements when required
What we are looking for
Previous experience in a hotel maintenance management or similar facilities role
Strong practical knowledge of general repairs and building maintenance
Good understanding of health and safety and statutory compliance
Experience managing contractors and planned maintenance activities
The ability to prioritise tasks and respond effectively to urgent issues
A proactive, organised, and hands-on approach
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
The ability to work independently and as part of the hotel management team
Flexibility to work according to the operational needs of the hotel
