Role Overview

We are seeking an organised and proactive Production Assistant to join our production team on a maternity cover contract. Based at our Savile Row bespoke tailoring house, you will coordinate garment flow, keep production records accurate, and ensure clear communication among cutters, tailors, and the wider team. This is a varied administrative role requiring strong organisation, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced luxury environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate garment flow through all production stages (cutting, tailoring, finishing, quality control, dispatch), track progress, and ensure deadlines are met.
  • Maintain accurate production records, scheduling information, material allocations and workforce availability/leave planning.
  • Receive, process and allocate production materials; match materials to orders and coordinate work allocation with production teams.
  • Manage finishing, quality control and dispatch; arrange shipments for UK and international orders.
  • Liaise with cutters, tailors, internal departments and external suppliers to support efficient production.
  • Provide administrative and operational support to the Production Manager and production team.

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Strong organisational and administrative skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Confident communicator with strong relationship-building skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Comfortable learning and working with production management systems; Salesforce experience is desirable.

  • Experience in luxury manufacturing, tailoring, fashion or garment production.
  • Understanding of garment production processes.
